I am a psychologist because I strongly believe in the power of authentic human relationships. Therapy with me is based on this type of real, caring relationship. I believe people are happiest when they live a life in meaningful relationships with people around them, and my hope is that the therapeutic encounter will be part of transforming your life. Being a psychologist and sitting with people who are in the midst of deep pain is a profound honor. Coming alongside people as they experience growth and healing is a rewarding privilege for me.
I have deep respect for the uniqueness of each individual, and often find that people experience change through better understanding themselves, as well as mobilizing the support in their community and in social relationships. Through relieving symptoms, identifying your personal and community strengths, and more deeply exploring your values, thoughts, and feelings you can both feel better and grow as a person.
I am a licensed psychologist practicing in Claremont, California (PSY 24432). I work with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. I completed my graduate training at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, and I have been trained at the University Counseling Centers at Cal State Fullerton, University of Southern California, and the Claremont Colleges. I also have specialized training in working with couples. I utilize Gottman Method Couples Therapy with couples to encourage an understanding environment of trust and friendship where conflict can be handled more effectively.
I have resided in Southern California for the last twenty years, and I live with my husband and two daughters.
My office is conveniently located in the Claremont Village, and within walking distance from the Claremont Colleges and the Metrolink station.
